Breakwater Motel

We recently stayed at Paihia breakwater. The front desk was very helpful, telling us about sailing companies that didn’t commonly cancel due to low attendance (fullers btw). We had a lovely time at their hotel. It had an excellent view and the location is right in town so you can walk to the waterfront restaurants and the ferry easily. When our plans changed (our flight to cape reinga was cancelled because of weather) we left early and they refunded us a day. Thanks guys! Will come again!!

Brilliant place to stay. Fantastic views from seaside rooms. Highly recommend staying here. Staff are awesome.

I needed a get-a-way from stresses. The room was a lot smaller than other motels I've stayed at in Northland. (Because of work, I've stayed in a lot) Neat, clean, with a great view of the water. Had a new/generated feel. The bed was hard, difficult to get comfortable in. The road noise. I was not expecting so much, but I coped. Nice compact kitchen area, although there was no salt and pepper I could find. Lovely plunger coffee. Great shower, large, and hot. A bit disappointed there were no tissues or handy towels. Very welcoming reception. Would I stay here again? Probably not only because of the road noise. Location to area is fabulous.
