Briery Wood Country House Hotel

This was the most perfect setting for our Elopement Wedding. The staff were so helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble for them. The food is amazing if you choose to eat there and I can highly recommend the afternoon tea. We will definitely be going back for our 1st anniversary. The hotel is also dog friendly.

Had afternoon tea there today which was a birthday gift. The staff greeted us in a very friendly manner and the service was excellent. They regularly checked if everything was OK and if we needed more tea etc. The afternoon tea itself was beautifully presented and loads of it. We couldn't eat all the cakes and they were boxed up for us to bring home. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel and grounds were beautifully kept. We are planning to stay there later this year. Would highly recommend

We have just come back from our just us wedding at briery wood ourselves, 3 dogs and 2 guests and I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. From booking the wedding Sarah the wedding planner was amazing and answered all questions we had to the wedding day where Kate looked after us checking everything , talking us through everything making everything run smoothly and made our day very special . All the staff are absolutely amazing so friend and helpful nothing too much trouble 2 staff members think they were both called Martin were brilliant couldn’t do enough for you all the staff are a real credit to this hotel . The feel of the hotel is home from home we stayed in room 12 beautiful view of the garden and nicely decorated and good size room and very clean. The food is out of this world very tasty you can tell it’s good quality food and omg the afternoon tea you get loads and it’s delicious well worth getting it we couldn’t finish it so the staff kindly saved it for us until we were checking out. This hotel is very dog friendly they even give you a goody bag and a ball for your fury friend in your bedroom and get lots of fuss off the staff. Our wedding day was perfect the weather was kind to us and we managed to have the wedding outside the staff were brilliant looked after us they went above and beyond what we ever expected and made us feel very special. The grounds are beautiful and well kept with a short walk down to the lake. If your thinking of booking this hotel don’t hesitate just do it we are planning on returning for our anniversary Thankyou to all the staff at briery wood hotel
