We had a very nice stay in this hotel. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Price was not bad. The hotel is a little bit old and has a classic look to it, but everything works fine. Rooms were clean. Bathroom was ok. Bed's were comfortable. The air conditioning works good. Internet works great. Location is one of the best in Buenos Aires. The view of my room was excellent, with the view over the obelisco and main streets. But in the other room at the side of the hotel the only thing you see is another building. The windows are nearly soundproof I couldn't hear any cars even tough it's across a very busy road. But the walls between the rooms don't stop a lot of sound. But luckily it didn't cause any problems. In short, it's a good hotel and I enjoyed my stay.
Certainly an excellent location as you are in the heart of BA but this hotel is not a 4-star hotel. The rooms and facilities are much older than you'd except for a 4-star hotel and the furniture is in need of an update. We were surprised at the cost for our room for the night, but alas there is not much you can do when booking last minute. The staff was friendly enough but we were surprised to be charged a fee to store our bags for an hour as this is almost always complimentary. Overall, a good place to stay in a pinch but we would not book it again.
I personally would not recommend. Definitely NOT a 4 star hotel. I’m paying for the mistake of trying to save money. Paper thin walls. I can literally hear the message notifications from the phone in the room next door not to mention everything else that’s going on in the hotel. If you’re a light sleeper like myself do yourself a favour and find another place to stay. Housekeeping won’t even change the trash bags. I have the same empty water bottles in the trash for 9 days now and they keep pilling up. They only make the bed and replace the towels. As far as breakfast they charge a ridiculous ARS$7000 for croissants, cold cuts, cornflakes and coffee. There’s a coffee shop next door and you can get a full American breakfast with coffee for half the price. The gym is pretty dope thought.
