Bristol Grand Hotel By Sunday

Good location, it was a well kept hotel that gave a good feel. The atmosphere in the hotel was good with some live music, and of course comfortable rooms and a clean bathroom but the bed base was too small for the bed and the room was a bit small with a stained sofa seat in the room. Otherwise, perfect.

Starting off with the amazing location. You are close to EVERYTHING! The service was great too! Some staff not being particularly cheery and smiling but gave us extra blankets when requested. Rooms weren't particularly good at all. The room we got did not have any isolation around the window (during March) and it got down to 5 degrees outside (and of course in our room). It was REALLY cold. The AC, have never been cleaned so if you open it up and check the filter, it's clogged up with a lot of dust. We endured the night, and with a bit of a struggle, we got another room. It was also quite chilly during nights, but not as cold as the one we had earlier. The bathroom needs more towels to be put on the floor in case there is a lot of water. The shower itself, in the first AND the second room did not have a rubber seal between the hand shower and the shower hose, making it leak a lot of water before it could even spray out the nozzle and onto your body. The view from the room was not good as it was the back of an alley. Though that didn't bother me too much as we were out adventuring more than being in the hotel room.

Unfortunately this hotel was not yo to par . The only nice thing about it was the bar area . The beds were hard and you could feel the springs. Very uncomfortable . The room was small and very dark and found it difficult to see to put on makeup. Previous room tenants rubbish left down the corridor on arrival and it was quite late . I wouldn't return much better hotels in Bristol for similar price . Please save your money and book elsewhere .
