There were not enough photos of the rooms available online — when I booked, there was only one picture. I still decided to go ahead with the reservation, and luckily I wasn’t disappointed, but it’s definitely an important point: more photos should be added! Once in the room, the floor was very dirty and there were stains on the blankets. The shower was small and didn’t have a door, so the water went all over the floor. I had booked the large double room, and at least in terms of size, I wasn’t disappointed. Finally, the staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, it wasn’t the best hotel I’ve stayed in, but not the worst either.
The location is very good if you arrive by train or need to be in close proximity to the Hbf. The staff at the front desk were nice and kind. The rooms are on the edge, though. Nasty carpet and the shower could use a nice chlorine and powerwash. Its cheap so not too much to complain about for the price.
The only real advantage of this hotel is its location — conveniently close to the main train station and the exhibition grounds. However, the surrounding area isn’t very friendly and definitely not ideal for a family city break. The room furnishings are outdated, worn, and often not very clean. The carpet was particularly stained — not exactly something you'd want to walk on barefoot. There was a slight sewage smell in the bathroom. Breakfast was acceptable, although the direct garden access meant a few flies could be a nuisance while eating. Considering all this, it feels overpriced.
