On arrival for some English it may be confusing how to get to the hotel as we struggled. Managed to park up near entrance and realised the secure parking was next to hotel, in a secure gated location. When pulling up in car, you need to let reception know you have pre booked. They checked and had my booking. We directly messages via Booking.com before paying for room as parking was vital. On arrival the receptionist/ lady on reception was kind, understanding and had excellent English. Following a long drive we just wanted to rest. Room was comfortable. Breakfast is as expected. Mostly continental. Bed was comfortable and we slept well. For the price paid circa £100 is money well spent for bed and breakfast. TV - No sky, no British Chanel’s other than CNN or BBC News. This isn’t a problem as had tablet to stream and mobile phones Internet is good and works well to save data but with low roaming cost it was fine using own phone or tablet. We had no water in room for complimentary tea but brought our own Tea Coffee and Milk (long life). Good location for local restaurants. We used this hotel as driving to UK from Spain. Spar Bath - Nice feature following a very long drive Overall - Great Hotel and value for money.
Excellent Hotel which has secure parking and it’s right in the centre of town. We stayed here as an overnight stay on our drive south and would highly recommend it. We had a junior suite with a spa bath. It was very clean and comfortable. Good bed and linen. Recently refurbished within a few years. Breakfast was fine with a nice selection and very good scrambled eggs. They can also provide ready made meals in jars as well as desserts if you arrive late and don’t want to go out. Reception was really helpful. They provided a list of cafes and restaurants too. We ate in a pizza place round the corner called scarlets. I’m sure it was the worst pizza I’ve ever had. It was simply horrible. When in France eat French. There is a good organic cafe right behind the hotel. Quirky but nice. We slept well here.
Very nice hotel. Small room but very comfortable bed and bedding. Strong air conditioning. Breakfast okay but not very impressive. I missed having apple juice and a variety of jams.
