Brit Hotel Le Lodge

We stayed here for Strasbourg's Christmas Market. Reception was the easiest I have ever experienced, I think I was at the desk for less than 1 minute. That even includes the time it took to direct our parking, room and tram station locations. Check out was similarly smooth, and we did not have cause to interact with the staff on our 1 night stay. The hotel is in a nice location, next to the tram line that will carry you into the market area in approx 15 mins. The room is standard, fairly nicely appointed but on the smaller side. This was fine for us for our 1 night, the bed was large and as comfortable as any we have slept on in europe. There was only the duvet to sleep under, so bring a lighter blanket if you want one. This seems to be the new normal in many hotels. The bathroom was huge, though the shower was a little tight. The towels were clean and soft and everything worked. The hair dryer was an awesome throwback, with the hose going to the wall mounted unit. It worked well though and was a cool, quirky addition to an otherwise totally modern room. The windows operated and although we didn't try, the thermostat indicated air conditioning. Would definitely return here for another stay. I would probably seek a larger room if I was staying more than a couple of nights, but it was entirely acceptable.

A good hotel, very close to the tram station. I think it's about a 15-minute ride to the city center by tram. For 10 euros, you can park underground, which I recommend. I think for the price paid, they could at least provide 2 coffee capsules in the room. The carpet in the hallway is old and stained, more like a 3-star hotel than a 4-star one. There is a water dispenser in the hallway. The bottle in the room had a strange smell, so I only used the dispenser to get a glass of water. Please book in advance to get good prices. The coffee from the bar is not the best...

The hotel was not like in the pictures where we booked. The room was not clean and the sheets were all over with small hairs 🤮 We paid 18€ for an adult for breakfast and it was very very poor, nothing to eat. That would not even cost 5€ per person. There is no fridge in the room. I would never come again at this hotel.
