Broadbeach Savannah Resort

The location of this hotel is the best! Pacific Fair walking distance. Great food next door at the Beach Hotel. We were so excited for our kid free night away until we got to our room. The carpet was ripped up upon entry. The room smelt like stale bleach. Quite dusty. Bathroom door had something on the back of it. Had a shower and left black footprints in the bathroom from the dirty carpet in the room. Definitely not worth the $300 and that was a discounted price. Imagine paying full price for that!

The location itself isn't bad but do not stay at this hotel!!! It is absolutely filthy - 1 star is generous for the terrible quality of this place. First of all the renovations weren't disclosed when booking this accomodation so you arrive to find hallways with no carpet and front doors half painted that don't close properly. There was only a single sheet on the bed but the extra blanket in the cupboard had stains on it (gross). The bathroom reeks of sewerage and you couldn't flush the toilet in our room properly as the buttons are falling out from the top of the toilet. TV didn't work. The worst part - cockroaches in the bed and shower!!! Highly disappointed and have requested a full refund. Would never stay here again.

Firstly, parking at the hotel is limited. Stayed there 3 nights and for the first two I had to park on the street because there wasn’t enough room in the basement. The actual room was disgusting, boogers on the walls and the air conditioning was filled to the brim with mould. My partner came home sick with her body aching and we only stayed 3 nights. The “Included” washing machine and dryer is only half true. There is an air lock outside of each room connecting to another, and that’s where they put the washing machine. Knowing my neighbour could go through our clothes anytime they wanted was off putting to say the least. The two dryers were placed in the basement with the car parks, but you had to pay to use it and took an hour for 1 cycle. Couldn’t adjust how long you wanted it in for. The bathrooms exhaust fan was broken so every time we went to the toilet or had a shower, the only way to ventilate the area was to leave the door open. The staff were friendly enough but not to helpful when it came to solutions. I mentioned our air conditioning would turn on for 5 seconds then off for 10 minutes, and the man at reception asked me if I turned it on and off again. The only plus sides to this place were that the pool and hot tub were nice and clean from what I could tell. And that all the restaurants and shops were only a five minute walk away. Other then that I can confidently say that my partner and I will not stay here again.
