We had dinner at the Pizzeria attached to the hotel. We ordered Della Cassa Rosso, which sadly is not listed on the menu. However, it is available and stunningly good. We also ordered the Broglia Pizza and Spaghetti Carbonara. Both were amazing. The pizza base is stunning, the sauce was traditional tomato without any additives, no sugar or salt, our preferred way to have pizza sauce. The toppings are fresh and tasteful. The spaghetti offered a depth of flavour not often found. The crunchy bacon/speck was so good. The staff are attentive, however, not overbearing. Clearly, the kitchen and chef understand food and flavours. A place you should truly try.

Warning - if you travel by car: The hotel is located inside restricted ZTL area, and it seems to be possible to get a traffic violation as Broglia´s guest even though the hotel advertises free parking. Worse part is that the hotel doesn´t reply to any emails concerning the traffic violation - which i got only because someone at the hotel staff didn´t inform my licence plate information to proper authorities in time. Let´s see how this story ends...

This hotel is in the historic center, close to Thermal Spa and Grotto. The pool is this hotel’s best feature. We stayed there 4 nights . Internet never worked and the hotel manager was, at best indifferent. Breakfast was really nice but after that , don’t expect any help with requests or difficulties you might have. This hotel hasn’t been renovated since the 70’s but I loved the old style and quiet. Don’t bring your car inside the city, it’s too complicated to go in and out of the city with the narrow streets and crowds.
