Loved our stay at Brondo Architect Hotel. Check-in was easy and the staff were friendly. Room was well equipped, decorated well, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast at this hotel was one of the best I’ve ever had. Was there perfect location for us to stay for our night in Palma as it is super close and in walking distance to all the touristique places the city has to offer.
We stayed four nights at this small hotel, which has an outstanding location. The room was comfortable, a good size, and we enjoyed a lovely terrace. However, I was quite dissatisfied with some aspects of our stay. Upon our arrival, the staff member who escorted us to the room looked at us and asked, “Do you have any issues taking the stairs?” This was concerning, as we were traveling with my husband—who had undergone knee surgery just two months prior—our two-year-old child, and several suitcases, including a stroller. We were surprised to find that the only way to access our room was via a spiral staircase, with no elevator available to that part of the hotel. This was not due to a malfunction—the building is simply not equipped with an elevator in that section. Unfortunately, this important detail was never mentioned when I made the reservation, nor when I called to extend our stay. I strongly believe that this is critical information that should be clearly communicated to guests in advance. Additionally, access to the rooms was through the restaurant, with no apparent security controls. This means that anyone dining in the restaurant could potentially enter the hallway where the rooms are located. The room doors use traditional keys rather than key cards, and unless the key is used to lock the door manually, it remains unlocked—even if it appears closed. We discovered this when my husband accidentally entered the neighboring room, assuming it was ours. No one had informed us of this security detail. Later, the neighbor mentioned he hadn’t locked his door at all during his two-day stay. Lastly, I want to mention an issue we encountered during breakfast. When we attempted to serve orange juice to our child, we noticed that the lid of the juice jar was covered in mold. We took a photo and reported it to reception, where we were told it would be addressed. Unfortunately, the next morning, the same moldy lid was still there. While the staff were generally friendly, I believe that for the price paid, there are several issues here that should not be overlooked.
This is supposed to be a 4-star hotel, but it really doesn’t meet that standard. Cons: • WiFi didn’t reach our room – had to use mobile data • No lift, and our room was up two flights of stairs • No full-length mirror – only a small one above the sink • Only a basic shampoo/body wash combo provided • Shower had very low water pressure • Friends in other rooms got free cava, we didn’t – inconsistent experience Pros: • Great location • Breakfast was very good - service Overall: If it were rated 2 stars, it would be fine. But as a 4-star, it falls short on comfort and amenities.
