Buahan A Banyan Tree Escape Bali

I spent three days at Buahan in the beginning of March or the end of February. And now looking back, I can definitely say that it is one of the most exceptional and unique experiences in my travel collection. I think it is a definite must for travelers who have been experiencing a more “conventional” luxury travel before. Several key things that are standing out: an exceptionally unique concept of no doors no windows. Stunning views at any time of the day and any weather, stunning design and attention to details in the rooms and in the common areas, exquisite food and drinks (applause to the chef and his team), absolutely outstanding hospitality. I must also fully recommend the trips and experiences that the hotel organizes, all of them were totally unique and very comfortable. I did the local farm visit with the chef and the sunrise and volcano valley visit. Necessary note: there is no need to worry about insects or sorts. During my stay, I haven’t been bite by anything a single time and I haven’t seen any insect except one nice cat)) Tip: I would recommend to choose a higher villa as the views are more unique there

Banyan tree escape exceeded our expectations in every possible way. From the serene surroundings to the soul-soothing experiences, every moment felt like a mindful escape from the everyday rush. A heartfelt thanks to Riadi, who took care of our stay from start to finish—giving us a warm and detailed introduction to the place and always being just a call away whenever we needed anything. His presence made our experience seamless and stress-free. Arsana at the bar also deserves a big shoutout—he crafted what might just be the world’s first warm cocktail, specially made to ease my cold and cough. It was comforting, unique, and incredibly thoughtful. Riska made our dining experience even more special. She patiently walked us through the dinner plan each night, explaining every dish with such warmth and attention to detail. Her care added a personal touch that we truly appreciated. And the chefs—wow! They went above and beyond, preparing a delicious local Nasi Goreng tailored to our Indian vegetarian taste buds. Buahan truly is a sanctuary of care, connection, and calm. Thank you for creating such a magical and meaningful escape.

Truly exceptional resort. From start to finish everything was personal and luxe. We stayed in the bale above the waterfall in a private location with incredible views. The food and drinks were sensational, we loved that the food came from a nearby radius of the resort. Our favourite activity was unquestionably the cooking class with the delightful head chef, foraging for ingredients in their grounds/gardens and cooking over an open fire, proper Indonesian style.
