Buda Castle Hotel

We had a wonderful stay – the staff were incredibly helpful and genuinely friendly. I needed to extend my stay since my flight was at night, and they kindly arranged another room for me, which I truly appreciated. The breakfast was also very good, with a nice variety to start the day off right. The location is ideal, especially for couples. It’s close to Fisherman’s Bastion and Buda Castle, making it perfect for scenic walks. If you enjoy exploring on foot, you’ll love walking through the nearby hills and soaking in the beautiful views of the Buda side – a great way to spend a romantic date night!

We have recently returned from a wonderful 5 night stay at Buda Castle Hotel. The hotel is ideally located in the Castle Hill area, a short walk from the nearest bus stop, restaurants and the Fisherman's Bastion. We had a good sized room and bathroom with quality toiletries and drinks. Despite having a room directly over reception at the front, noise wasn't a problem. We enjoyed a better than average breakfast, based on other European hotels we have stayed at, with a different fruit offering each day. The only minor niggle being that the hot offering was only warm. Service was excellent, with special thanks to the friendly helpful gentleman on reception who let us check in early and immediately provided a replacement hairdryer when the one in the bathroom broke. We definitely reccomend this hotel.

This was my fifth time staying at the Buda Castle Hotel over the years and it was a pleasure as always. It was nice to see some upkeep from my last visit, it was nicely maintained. Rooms are very spacious for a boutique hotel in the heart of the castle district, within walking distance of some of the top tourist attractions, and with the bus right there it’s very easy to explore all that Budapest has to offer. Breakfast was always fresh every day; staff were great at making sure the food preparation was perfect. My one slight disappointment was the coffee, I do like a good morning coffee and the automatic machine wasn’t my favorite. House cleaning staff were fantastic, room was always perfect. Now the stars of the hotel, Agi and Szabi! I had the chance to witness them go above and beyond with assisting hotel guests, from recommendations for dinner to sights and just having friendly conversations. These two made everyone's stay better at the hotel, wonderful hosts they were! I will always make the Buda Castle Hotel my home away from home when visiting Budapest
