We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The view was absolutely stunning, especially at sunrise (castle view). The room was clean and well-maintained. What really stood out was the staff – everyone was nice, friendly, and always willing to help with a smile. Specifically Lilla at the front desk and Andrea in the gym. The breakfast was simply amazing – a wide variety of delicious options (both Hungarian and international), fresh and beautifully presented. Highly recommended!

All is well in Budapest. The atmosphere, the food and the people. Some of the most engaging Europeans Ive met over the last 15 years or so. The place as a whole is simply beautiful as is most of the places I’ve visited. No the customer service at the hotel/luxury apartments where w are currently is even better than the than the grandaddy Marriott. This place is like their Airbnb and even though you don’t get the upscale look and high end aesthetics, but the place was really nice and well kept. Front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. I’m really enjoying the vibe here.

I am a regular guest of Marriott and St. Regis hotels around the world, so I know the standard these brands promise. Unfortunately, my experience at the Marriott Budapest was far below expectations. Our room was directly in front of a live band that played late into the night, making it hard to rest. The air conditioning could not be set below 20°C, leaving the room uncomfortably warm. Breakfast was another disappointment. We paid around €75 for one day, yet the buffet was small, food options limited, cups were dirty, and there were insects around the food. On a rainy day, we requested umbrellas. There were two of us, but the staff only provided one and said, “one is enough for you,” which felt dismissive. Adding to this, several staff members did not speak English, which was surprising for an international hotel chain. As a loyal Marriott guest, I expected much better. This complaint is simply to express my disappointment and to highlight areas that need improvement at Marriott Budapest.
