Stayed on a Sun holiday break Monday to Friday. Lovely location amongst the trees in the woods. Surrounded by squirrels and birds. Very peaceful. Lovely lodge much roomier than a traditional caravan and was spotlessly clean on arrival. It was just the two of us, a retired couple so it was the perfect base for us to go off visiting places. We had a takeaway meal one night from the camp site. That was delicious. The only thing I'd say the picnic tables are looking a bit worse for wear.
We had a wonderful time during our stay. The property is located in a quiet and peaceful area, perfect for a relaxing getaway. It’s just a short 7-minute drive to the train station, which made trips into St Ives super easy and hassle-free – we avoided the parking stress completely! The accommodation itself was clean, well-equipped, and offered excellent value for money. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a calm base near St Ives without the high price tag. Would happily stay again!
We have just returned home here from a family holiday. The caravan and the site is lovely, lots of trees around so lots of wildlife for the kids, birds and bunny rabbits!. We had the gold caravan lodge with hot tub which was a treat! If there are a few of you I'd recommend the actual lodges as there is so much more space. We tried for an upgrade but the site was full so this was unavailable. The caravan was clean. The staff were super friendly and helped in any way they could if you needed anything. The only reason for the lower score is how outdated the amenities are. The pool area looks a bit unsightly but kept very clean by the friendly staff, the pool itself was warm and clean you have to book from 7pm and get 1hour slot.. there are no showers and only a couple of changing rooms at the pool side but plenty of seating and tables. there is a disabled access toilet but the door doesn't shut. The amusements area is also very outdated, a few machines not working or printing tickets (at the time we went no one was available to help as they started at 3pm) although again the staff were super helpful with this. However the kids enjoyed it. The entertainment team were brilliant with the kids and put on a good show. We didn't eat at the restaurant but there is options to book a table or have take out service which was handy for the kids around the kids clubs. All in all, we had a great holiday but the place could do with revamping to be more appealing.
