We stayed there for 7 days, the location is perfect, most popular places are within the walking distance, a lot of good restaurants/cafes nearby. The staff is polite, rooms are a bit old, but kept clean and cozy. Breakfast is also good.
I was very worried after reading some of the reviews for the hotel. While it was better than we feared, there are definitely some areas for improvement. First, the positives: front desk staff were friendly, the location was good, and the room was clean and somewhere to sleep for the night. In terms of improvements: (1) breakfast was lacking - we've been travelling around Turkey for 3 weeks now at places of varying budgets, and this one was definitely the worst of the bunch. (2) Air-conditioning in the room was inconsistent - it was so difficult to get a comfortable temperature. We were often up in the night either too hot or too cold and having to adjust the temperature. (3) Amenities in the room - having a kettle and daily free water would make it more comfortable. Overall, while the price for the location was good, I would try a different hotel next time I visited Istanbul.
The rooms were absolutely disgusting. There’s hair covered across the entire pillows and bed sheets , the rooms were full of dust , and the service was awful. I understand that the booking is nonrefundable , but at least refund the money when rooms are not clean or not ready to be serviced . Huge arguments accrued during this whole process , whoever was on the counter was disrespectful. Me and the family left the hotel late at night because we couldn’t stand the smell and the small fleas and ticks around the edges of the beds . Most 4-star hotels AT LEAST provide complimentary tea or coffee , this hotel doesn’t even provide free water ! Absolutely disappointing. You literally have to pay for everything single thing. My opinion is this , this hotel is not supposed to be rated as a 4-star hotel , it’s more of a 3 or even a 2 , with rooms extremely small and dirty , poor customer service executions , and high prices.
