Burg Wegberg Hotel & Eventlocation

Located in the countryside, this is a very beautiful hotel. It's very peaceful here and staff is also very nice. Restaurant is located in open area outside the hotel which is I loved a lot.

It is a really beautiful building, the staff is very friendly and helpful, so huge thanks for that. Breakfast is okay, nothing very fancy but quite decent and good. I had two problems: one was the heat in a top floor room - it was only 20-25 degrees outside, but it was impossible to sleep properly. There was a fan in the room which I used the first 2 nights, and I just caught the cold because of them. -1 star because of this. The second problem is the bodywash and the shampoo. They are clearly thinned out with water and this is not what I would expect for this price per night. -1 star because of this, it feels so cheap un unfair. Other than that, it’s a really nice hotel.

We were here on the 4th of September 2021 on the wedding. Concerning the restaurant I don’t have any complains. The big problem for me was hotel. Burg Wegberg Hotel is pretending to be a 4 stars hotel, but unfortunately they are far away from this stars. From the first point of view the room is looking nice(but still old) but what was not in order: 1. In the toilet was all time running the water. It disturbed , we couldn’t sleep. 2. In the bath the water didn’t go away. The system didn’t work and we had to stay in this water while washing. 3. The curtains were very old and in some places were damaged and looking minimum 25 years old. 4. There was no other blankets as for winter. We had to cover with them. 5. There is no Telefon in the room. 6. There is no Telefon in the bathroom in the case of emergency. 7. The isolation from sounds is very poor. 8. There is no safe (for 4 stars it had to be). 9. The windows were dirty. But all this is nothing if I am comparing with attitude of personal (on reception). When we complained after checking out, the man was making not funny at all jokes about Cologne (where we are from). He was ignoring our critics and even not apologizing for some uncomfortable moment for us. We could not pay with card. He gave us the bill. Really, in 21st century? He was not ready for any dialogue and didn’t accept anything what we told. I am trying to avoid in life any negative situations and always try to find positive things around. In this situation it was impossible. I highly NOT RECOMMEND this hotel. It is not 4 stars at all!!! There is nothing to do with stars!
