Burke and Wills Motor Inn

Our stay at Burke & Wills in Moree was absolutely fantastic! Check-in and check-out were seamless, and every single staff member we encountered was so friendly and welcoming. I have to start with the restaurant – it is an absolute must-do! The food was simply incredible – true home-style cooking, perfectly prepared, and full of flavour. I ate so much because everything tasted so good, and I honestly haven’t felt that satisfied after a meal since childhood. “Incredible” feels like an understatement. The laughter coming from the kitchen made the experience even more delightful, and the service was spot on – dishes cleared quickly, drinks topped up without asking. I also adored the chairs – comfortable and swivelled – which made the restaurant feel fun and inviting. If this restaurant were in Brisbane, I’d be dining there every week! Our accommodation was comfortable . We stayed in a Queen Bed Deluxe room which was spotless, quiet, and had everything we needed. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, and the shower had fantastic water pressure. Parking right out the front made things super convenient, and the free WiFi was a nice bonus. We couldn’t be happier with our stay and highly recommend Burke & Wills to anyone visiting Moree.

This motel is old, tired and neglected. One doesn’t get the feeling that the owners have their heart in improving guest comfort. Even little things like a ratty welcome book and a tainted electric jug are off-putting. There was a Netflix button on the remote but it didn’t work. And I couldn’t see any information on Wi-Fi access (if there was any).

Strange smell in our bathroom on arrival was a number 2 in the toilet. How is it possible if rooms are cleaned . Instant damn we picked the wrong overnighter to stay. There was a Faint Smell of urine in the room . Very flat pillows and no extras ones in the cupboard. May have to ask I don’t know. Lucky we had our own. Not a dark room as the yellow glass window in the door let in a-lot of light and could not cover it. Could hear our neighbours next door tv . We do try to make the best of a bad situation but sadly will give this accommodation a miss in the future.
