Amazing hotel, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The front of house manager Leslie went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our anniversary stay. The customer service from every single member of staff was phenomenonal. everyone was so friendly and attentive (gave a feel of being abroad how people wait on you and genuinely care) the facilities were great, aesthetics were beautiful, cocktails were very nice, food was very tasty! Breakfast was also lovely, plenty of choice. I highly recommend this hotel would 100% return thank you to all the staff for making our stay enjoyable!!
This was a pleasant place to stay, situated on the Loughborough University campus. The restaurant and bar areas were clean and modern and the food was of a decent quality. The University campus was a pleasant area to stoll around and felt quite safe and quiet. My only criticism was visiting in the summer the hotel room was very hot indeed with little ventilation and no air conditioning. A small fan was supplied but didn't do much! Otherwise the rooms were clean and well furnished.
I booked this hotel for my child's graduation from the University and unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The room was merely acceptable and the hotel felt distinctly like a 3-star establishment at best, rather than anything more premium. The check-in experience was odd and the bathroom was surprisingly basic. I have certainly encountered far superior 3-star hotels. The service at the in-house restaurant, Fifty The Street, was a mixed bag. While the regular staff were fantastic, the lady manager, who wore different attire, displayed a condescending attitude when taking our order after we asked about alternative menu options. The food was also mediocre. You can definitely have a better meal in the town center like the Goodliffes restaurant. Given these issues, I definitely won't be returning.
