Byzantino Hotel Patras

Location: The location is really the only strong point of this destination. It’s conveniently close to the main square, and there’s a car park right next to the property. Breakfast Room: The breakfast room itself is beautiful, but unfortunately, every plate, glass, and even the chairs were dirty. This made me feel uncomfortable eating there and raised concerns about the overall hygiene standards of the staff. Room: At first glance, the room appeared clean and well-kept. The double bed is spacious and ideal for couples, as there’s no gap in the middle. Despite closing the blinds and curtains, the room remained quite bright. Additionally, it was humid and had an unpleasant odor. The most alarming issue, however, was the hygiene of the toilet. Even though it had a ‘freshly cleaned’ sticker, there was a visible urine stain on the seat. My partner and I ended up using the restroom at a nearby restaurant instead. Staff: The staff were okay, but not particularly helpful. I addressed the hygiene concerns directly with the manager, but she showed no interest or willingness to resolve the issues.

It’s a nice location. The hotel is in need of a renovation but you could look away if the biggest problem weren’t the people that work there. Personally I haven’t stayed in a place with such rude staff. Actually not rude, just very bored to speak to you at all. We barely had a “bye” while checking in and out! That’s all we heard 2 days there!

The location is excellent and our room was fine. The breakfast was an embarrassment. Almost every cafe on the same street would have served real coffee, fresh juice, credible muesli and fresh baked goods, but this hotel showed such contempt for its clients that it failed in all these respects. Have breakfast almost anywhere else!
