Cabanas Tulum Beach Hotel & Spa

We loved our stay here! (June 2025) stayed in a beachfront king suite with plunge pool, and loved our dips to cool off with the sound of waves under a canopy of coconut trees- felt magical! The two restaurants were fantastic, and service throughout the hotel was 5-star- it was clear that everybody really wanted us to love our stay. Warm pool, very nice but totally unpretentious common areas (spa, games room, gym) and a great location walkable to all the spots in the hotel zone of Tulum. They are kind, welcoming, and accomodating. I would love to go back, and will happily stay there again! Re Tulum generally: Check weather and ocean reports so you are not disappointed in your stay— the entire coastline is covered in sargassum and not swimmable right now, and it is really hot. Neither of those prevented us from loving wvery minute on this property, and enjoying the area’s cenotes and ruins and one another.

My husband and I stayed at Cabanas Tulum for our baby moon. The stay was absolutely incredible. The staff is kind, welcoming and so helpful. Everything about the hotel is beautiful and the vibes were just right. The food was also amazing. I felt at ease being pregnant as they use all filtered water for all cooking and beverages. Both my husband and I have only amazing reviews for this place. We will absolutely be going back! Special shout out to Fredy and Axel for their incredible service, but honestly all the staff members were extremely hospitable and helpful. We also did a guided tour snorkeling with sea turtles and visiting a cenote with Simon, Fredy’s brother, and he was a most excellent guide as well. Not only was he a joy to spend the day with but also a wealth of knowledge. We can’t wait to come back!

This place...the room...the beach...the entire staff...all of it, completely amazing! The most professional and kindest hotel staff I have ever dealt with. The hotel is amazing. It is one of the few hotels that is steadfast to an eco-friendly, bohemian style Tulum experience...and they deliver on all of it. We were sad to leave and cannot wait to return. If your are looking for the touristy, party atmosphere...THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. If you want to connect with nature, the ocean, and the people of Tulum...this is it. I am giving 5 stars because I can't give 10.
