Cabra Castle Hotel

The first day we set foot on the grounds of Cabra Castle we instantly knew this is where we would get married. The Castle and grounds are outstanding and the Granary ceremony space is breathtaking. Since we booked our wedding there have been continuous improvements to the castle and grounds, all for the better. Every single staff member takes pride in their work and were always asking if there was anything else they could do, this was during the planning stages as well as on wedding day. If you don’t want your guests to go hungry, this is the wedding venue for you! There was plenty of food from the drinks reception to the evening buffet. Every one of our guests has mentioned how amazing the food was as well as the quantity of it. Everyone was stuffed! The service we received throughout the planning, before and after wedding day was second to none. We stayed overnight for the tasting event and even then treated like royalty. On wedding day it was run like a well oiled machine. Nothing was too much or too little to ask and every staff member would stop and speak and ask how we were. We stayed the night after our wedding and even in the bar that night and breakfast the next morning we were recognised by staff and asked about our day. There are a lot of weddings here but you certainly do not feel like a number. I would 100% recommend Cabra castle for a wedding, our day was perfection. Hope to be back as normal guests in the future.

Had the pleasure of working at this venue on Friday, and it’s now right up there in my top five wedding spots. From the moment you arrive, the place feels special, full of character, charm, and calm energy. The lady in charge was outstanding. Totally on it from start to finish, steady and kind with a brilliant way of keeping things flowing without fuss. You could feel the trust people had in her, and it was well deserved. The Irish wolfhound was so good. It came over for a photo with the bride and groom and did exactly what it was told to do. Properly behaved and calm, it added a lovely touch to the moment. Everything about the place works. The layout, the atmosphere, the attention to detail, it all comes together beautifully. Can’t wait to go back.

This was by far one of the most impressive places we've stayed. The courtyard room was our favorite, with a spacious room and woodwork on the ceiling, it was romantic and luxurious. The interior decoration was well-implemented with thematic grouping of paintings in beautiful frames and unique antiques arranged carefully and thoughtfully. The staff was attentive and kind in every way, from check-in accommodating our mistake, to a person showing us through the winding manor. Everything was spotlessly clean. The food was excellent and the sitting room was a great place to rest and listen to soft music while enjoying the art.
