We had a great experience at this mid-beach gem. Excellent service and location. Room was comfortable and well appointed. We weren’t big fans of the $49/night valet parking, but it was nice to be able to not worry about vehicle safety or finding our own parking. Great beach with chairs and umbrellas included, and free bike rentals for the first few hours. Good nearby access to the free trolley system, so it was super easy to hop down to South Beach for dinner, etc. In short, we loved the place and had a great experience.
EDIT: The room was a toasty 82° when we woke up! IN MIAMI! IT WAS UNBEARABLE! At checkout it appears many other rooms had the same issue. The pool was also dirty at this point. For the prices they charge, you would think they would maintain the place a bit better. Due to that I had to lower my review. **Lovely hotel on the beach, with 2 pools and a hot tub. The room was lovely, BUT the a/c was preset to 73° which normally would be perfect but in Miami, it was too warm. I asked them to reset it. It is now 75°. Oh well. The internet is spotty, the TV freezes, and shows the pixels. The "suite" had no fridge, no microwave, and no blow dryer. The service was excellent. The food was tasty and the staff delightful. Everything was spotless. Overall it was a decent stay. I would not recommend it though, due to the maintenance issues. If they can fix the A/C and clean the pool every night, then I might change my mind.
Unfortunately our stay was not great. We found a bed bug in our bed at 4am and brought it down in a plastic bag to the receptionist. She changed our room and we had to move rooms at 4:30am. We also did not have any help moving our stuff in the middle of the night. The next morning we were told that after inspection of the room there was no trace of bed bugs and it was implied that we brought it which was extremely unprofessional. Our luggage was not fabric nor would we have brought them from home since we just moved into a new build home that was built from the ground up. The room that they moved us to was smaller than our original room and it also was very very dirty. Under the sink in the bathroom was a nasty odor and residuals. The next day our room was not cleaned and we did not receive bed service and I had to call to have them come up to clean and give us new towels very late at night because they didn’t do it during the day. I also had a terrible experience at the pool that felt very targeted. I was at the pool for several hours and when a chair with an umbrella opened up I moved to it. Within minutes two young ladies that worked at the pool came to the two chairs next to me and said that someone reserved them. There was no such thing as reservation at the family pool nor was anyone there. Another gentleman came shortly after and asked me if I could move because other people wanted the umbrella. How unprofessional and disrespectful to assume I would move because they did not get there in time. I paid the same amount of money to be there but instead of being treated like a guest I was being harassed and stared at because I had an umbrella that someone else. I was so upset and uncomfortable from that experience. Just to note, this was my 4th time staying at the Cadillac. This has always been my favorite hotel that I recommend time and time again to everyone that I come across. Sadly I will never return or refer anyone there again. It has gone extremely downhill in terms of cleanliness , customer service and overall experience.
