Me and my family have just returned from a stay here, we had a fantastic time. The staff were friendly and attentive, the rooms were spotless. Breakfast was delicious and had a really good selection. We will 100% be returning for another stay, hopefully this year. Thanks you for a wonderful stay.

My friend booked for us to stay at the Cadwgan House Hotel on Friday 1st August - Saturday 2nd August. When we arrived, there was a misunderstanding as my friend had booked for one person and not two in the twin/double ensuite room. My friend had paid an initial £75. The hostess appeared flustered by two guests and not one. The hostess said a double room had been allocated for the booking. I said the booking was for a double/twin room and that nothing had been specified. The hostess sent someone upstairs and asked my friend and I to wait. She said she would sort something out. A short time later, we were directed to pay an extra £40 and directed to a room at the top of the hotel. This appeared to be a family room with two single beds and a double bed. My friend elected to take the double bed. When I lay on the first single bed, I could clearly feel the springs through the mattress. This was the same with the other single mattress. I decided to make do by putting a blanket over the fitted sheet. My friend used the bathroom and noticed a pair of black boxer shorts hung up on the back of the bathroom door, which we discarded in the bin. I didn't have a restful night's sleep due to the poor condition of the mattress. Upon returning the key, I addressed my concerns over the condition of the mattress with the hostess. I explained that I hadn't slept well and was in discomfort as a result. The hostess responded by highlighting that my friend had incorrectly booked for one person, while not appreciating that the single mattresses in the room weren't fit for purpose. I acknowledged that Wayne had made an error with the booking, but that the booking stated twin/double room irrespective of the number of guests. The hostess said her back had been against the wall when she was notified of the extra guest. I again reiterated that my cause for speaking with her was the condition of the single mattresses in the room. The hostess said that the single beds were intended for children. I said that irrespective of whether an adult or child slept on the mattress, it wasn't fit for purpose. She again didn't acknowledge the poor quality of the mattress. The hostess then said the room given to us hadn't been renovated, unlike the others, but claimed this was because of the last-minute change to accommodate the twin room. I didn't feel listened to by the hostess regarding my complaint and wouldn't wish anyone else to have to suffer a poor night's sleep on either mattress in the future. Breakfast was good. I enjoyed the granola, walnuts and pumpkin seed combo.

Not a Great Experience. I stayed at the Cadwagon Caravan with three friends from April 20th to 23rd, and honestly, it wasn’t a good experience. Check-in was stressful right from the start—the female host was really rude and made us feel unwelcome. It just felt off, especially when you're arriving for a vacation and expect at least a friendly greeting. I had traveled from Berlin that same morning and was completely exhausted. All I wanted was to take a proper shower and relax. But there was no shower gel in the bathroom. When we asked if she could provide some, she just told us to use hand wash instead—and wasn’t nice about it either. It was Easter Sunday, so no shops were open, which made it even more frustrating. It’s just not what you expect when you go on a trip. The whole vibe was ruined from the start. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxing or welcoming stay.
