This hotel is convenient if you are traveling by train into Taipei because it is across the street from the Main Taipei station. If you go by surface level, you will only have some steps going up the entrance of the hotel. If you go underground from the station, I believe it is exit number 6. You will have about 15 steps to go up. We had large bags and it was a little difficult. The room itself was fine. A view of another building out a dirty window, but we didn't mind. The room was clean, internet was good, shower had good pressure and hot water. We didn't eat in the hotel because there were so many other nearby options. Overall a basic hotel with very nice and helpful staff.

I tried booking the room through another travel booking platform and had leave a request to have an handicap room. The hotel get back ask me to cancel and rebook it on their web, I talked to the customer service on the booking platform they confirm with the hotel that the handicap room is another room type so I cancel and did the rebooking. The hotel again get back with same request to book on their web. I do not understand why they cannot just take note of the request and handle the adjustment on their end. The handicap room is even lower than the normal room pricing. The amount of effort that we had to gone through to find a hotel that is wheelchair friendly is already hard enough, so why is this 5 star hotel not doing anything to help and understand us. I do not face this issue with any other hotels in other countries that we have gone to. If this is the case then the hotel should not put that they are wheelchair friendly and not put up the accessible room option up for booking in all booking platforms except their own website. This is so ridiculous, I won’t not recommend this hotel to anyone anymore.

This hotel is not a 5 star hotel. It is 2 stars at most. Hallways and room have a weird fishy smell, the rooms are tiny, some rooms have no windows. The furniture is very old and the rooms were not clean. It was quite cold during my stay in Taipei but tje heating did not work properly. The windows are old and let in a lot of cold air. The window sill wasn't properly cleaned...there was a dead bug lying next to the window. The rooms are really bad and have a terrible smell. Location is great...but otherwise avoid this place.
