What a great experience! This is an American's perspective. I think this hotel might be a bit older, but it doesn't show it's age. It's kept up very well and in great condition. The staff was all incredibly friendly and helpful. There are three options for eating on site and they were all pretty good. No complains on the food. And the prices of the food were reasonable. The breakfast buffet might have a bit of a wait if you go at peak times. We didn't use the kids activity center at all but I did take a look at it. It's huge! And if we stayed more than two nights, my kids probably wouldn't used it and loved it. They have a ton of activities you can sign up for. Some are free and some cost a little bit of money. We signed up for the sand crab activity for one of the nights and my 12 year old said it was the highlight of his stay there. The staff walk you down to the beach at night and you can hunt various types of crabs. They gave us flashlights and buckets and showed us how to caught the crabs. Then he taught us about the crabs. Then once we were finished we let them all go. Super fun. My 12 year old spent the next day at the beach continuing to look for crabs. The pool was super nice. Just big enough to enjoy without being too big. The water was comfortable and towels were readily available. You are about a 5-10 minute walk to the beach using a private walkway. The beach was nice. Lots of little coral pieces to find. My biggest complaint about the beach was that it was really windy there, which wasn't a big deal if you were in the water. But if you were on the beach, sometimes if felt like you were being sandblasted. But I obviously don't hold that against the hotel. There are also beach rentals there for beach gear. The room was fantastic. Roomy enough to be comfortable. Free snacks and drinks in the minibar. Nice big shower. And our favorite part, a private jacuzzi on our enclosed patio! I don't know how many rooms have that amenity, but it was there for both of the rooms I booked. It was incredible. Such a cute and fun atmosphere with all of the plants growing on the back patio. It was super relaxing to be able to sit in my private hot tub at night and listen to the frog that was in our own private little pond. The pong also had some fish! The bathroom was a good size and had a really big shower! The hotel is also about a 10 minute walk to the local night market, which was pretty fun. Overall, I would easily book this hotel again. It was the perfect mix of comfort, activities, amenities, and convenient location. And it was a very reasonable price for everything it included.
Very good service, the room clean and nice with a nice view to the pool, the breakfast offers a large selection. But the dinner buffet is much more to expensive and a pot of tea, too. You are not allowed to sit on the left side of the hotel bar to drink your tea. Why not? And why don't you offer wonderful taiwanese green tea?
The location and service are good and on par with a 4.5 star hotel, Amenities are dated, and depending on your room, some of them are out of the way and hard to access. Everything is smaller than it looks on their brochure. One big bed for 2 does not mean a king-size bed, and balcony photos can be misleading, so check with them before you book.
