Cala Luna Boutique Hotel & Villas

Loved our stay at Cala Luna. The rooms are modern and well designed. The pool is lovely yet small, but the short stroll to the beach offered a private paradise, especially at sunset. We loved that we could walk to the main beach area of Tamarindo and enjoy the fun there and then walk back to our secluded beach and hotel. The breakfast was healthy and fresh and the staff were very accommodating. The cocktail prices were very steep and we live in LA, which surprised us. The food was also expensive but we heard that is indicative of most of Tamarindo and the pacific coast.

An Unforgettable Honeymoon at Cala Luna We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect honeymoon experience. From the moment we arrived at Cala Luna, everything exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed lunch, dinner, and breakfast on-site — each meal was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and full of fresh, vibrant flavors. The cocktails were expertly crafted and added a special touch to our meals. The excursions were just as incredible. We rented a golf cart and a surfboard, and also went on both the kayak and ATV tours. Every activity was well-organized, full of adventure, and gave us the perfect mix of excitement and relaxation. The staff made everything seamless and went out of their way to ensure we had an amazing time. Cala Luna provided the ideal backdrop for our honeymoon — peaceful, welcoming, and truly unforgettable. We left feeling relaxed, happy, and deeply grateful for the experience. We would absolutely recommend Cala Luna to anyone visiting Tamarindo. Best hotel in Tamarindo hands down. Restaurant is very very good. Service is five star impeccable. Karol and Eddy particularly went out of their way to provide me with exemplary service. I stayed there twice during my recent trip. Above and beyond. The car service they booked for me twice was phenomenal with the best driver, Rudolfo, I've ever had anywhere in the world. They were very very quick to help in kindest ways when I had already checked out and got caught in a horrible rainstorm on foot. The beach that is across the street from the property is gorgeous and chill. I always wish there aren't children around when I am on vacation but the families were lovely and not disruptive. The hotel has a wonderful boutique feel with yoga studio and outdoor seating. Breakfast is very good. Most helpful staff. And as I said, all persons were great. Each person in the restaurant was wonderful and the front desk as well. But Karol and Eddy went above and beyond every day I was there. I will not stay anywhere in Tamarindo. Hotel is also 5 mins by car from town and very very quiet as opposed to all of the other hotels in town that were loud with music and trashy tourist vibes.
