Caldera Hotel

I was in two minds as to whether we should stay in Goreme or Uçhisar. I’m so glad we made the decision to stay not only in Uchisar but The Caldera Hotel. It was beyond expectations. Our room had a perfect view with a perfect little balcony. Best view in Uchisar! The room and bathroom was beautifully clean and spacious and well decorated. Nice and cool with a bar fridge and aircon. The breakfast everyday was an absolute feast, wonderful individual spread which could have fed 4 people! The staff were all so amazing! Very friendly, helpful and attentive. They booked all our activities for us and all were excellent. Getting around was super easy, just a quick taxi drive to Goreme about 5mins and cost about 300tl. The prices in Uchisar were better than Goreme and Istanbul.

We had a great time, stayed 4 nights, done some hiking in Pigeon and Love valley etc. The location is perfect for exploring and also for balloon watching in the morning. The view of Üçhisar kale is stunning. Rooms have floor heating and AC, so it's perfect in any season. Will stay here again for sure!

I had a great stay at Caldera Hotel. The highlight was definitely the view of Uchisar Castle, absolutely beautiful in day and even at night feels magnificent. The service was also excellent; staff were friendly, attentive, and really made the experience enjoyable. Breakfast is ok. Location wise depending on where you want to go. That said, the hotel did seem a bit understaffed at times, I saw the same guy from reception all the time, at midnight, at noon and even serving breakfast. There was also some construction nearby that took away from the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. Overall, still a great stay!
