We spent a week at the Camino Real and had an absolutely delightful stay. The hotel was excellent overall, with spotless, well-maintained rooms. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and focused on providing great service. A special mention goes to Rosa and Pauline at the front desk for their outstanding professionalism and warm, welcoming demeanor. Christian was extremely helpful helping to arrange our tours. Highly recommended! #caminorealveracruz #pueblosmagicos #veracruz

I stayed here 2 separate nights, a week apart. First night was on the 9th floor on a Sunday. View was amazing! Hotel was quiet. Room had a coffee machine and room service menu. Second night was on a Tuesday during semana Santa. We got put on the 3rd floor. View was still nice. Room did not have coffee or room service menu. Overall - the location and views are amazing! The proximity to the beach is perfect. The pool is nice. The staff are all hospitable. I enjoyed the restaurant both times, great view. Entire area is clean and well kept. My only complaints is the bathroom fan is annoying, the fridge in the room is an extra charge, I didn't enjoy the TV automatically turning on everytime I docked the key, and there was no hair dryer in the room.

We had two separate stays at the hotel during our vacation, with a few days in between, and stayed in two different rooms. The first time on the 11th floor and the second time on the 7th. Positive thing: Both stays had great ocean views. Unfortunately, both experiences were disappointing. The water pressure in the showers was very poor in both rooms, and overall, the rooms are in need of maintenance—they look quite worn (bed linen included). During our second stay, we were welcomed by a ball of hair at the room’s entrance, which was quite off-putting. The balcony doors in both rooms didn’t close properly, letting in a lot of noise from the street and neighboring rooms. In our first stay, the room above us played loud music between 6:45 and 8:30 AM, making it hard to sleep. Food and drinks were extremely expensive, and service was consistently slow—it took over 45 minutes just to get some ice and a couple of glasses, since there were no glasses provided in the room. There was no hair dryer either. Room service in general took a long time. At the restaurant, we were consistently reminded that tips were not included. Additionally, the pool opens at 9:00 AM, which is inconvenient for early risers (or jet laggers). The beach/pool showers were out of service for the first two days of our stay (so we got a bucket of water to rinse our feet and got told to jump to the pool), and there were no towels available on our first day.
