Probably the best accommodation during our stay in Mallorca. Both staff and owners are very friendly and authentic and super helpful when it comes to recommendations for local restaurants etc. The property is a real gem, very clean and quite and the pool and garden area is just stunning. The owners also run a restaurant in nearby Felanitx which is likewise of very high quality.

Can Sull Please note that the below review is both positive as less positive. Depending on your goals, your focus points could differ. We took into account the price paid and time stayed. +/-200 per night and stayed for 4 nights. Overall we had a good experience at Can Sull. - Check-in: little bit hectic / check-in hosts could not speak English. - Room: located at the front door / small size room for the price paid (+/- €200 per night). Decoration of the room is very nice.. The bed looks amazing but the structure underneath is horrible. This is an own build bed made out of several big hard planks.(no Lato flex) (see picture). I struggled with my back after night 2. FYI - the tap water is disgusting. This was not the case at other places we stayed in Mallorca. - Pool area: is very nice, the garden is, even-though you are in a small city, very remote and quiet. A nice getaway to relax and calm down. There are as many lounge chairs as guest, which is unique in the hotel world if you’d ask me. - The breakfast was very well presented on a large sharing table. It was offered to sit apart but sharing the table with other guests can be nice from time to time. There was plenty of good, fresh and healthy food. This is definitely meet ing the expectations. We also get asked multiple times if we want more. We were here for 4 mornings and had 4 times almost the exact same. - During the day, there is an honest bar in the guesthouse. The prices are somewhat bizar. Where you pay a lot for water or coke, alcohol comes at a decent price. Beer = Coke Zero = 3€. One liter of water on the other hand is 5€ (store value is €0.92) considering the fact that the hotel asks not to bring any own food or drinks inside, it could be a bit more “honest” 🙂. A Gin&Tonic comes at €10. - not that it matters too much in a place like this, but the WiFi is good 👍 - The crew is very friendly and speaks fluent German and Spanish, English is very difficult. Overal happy we stayed at Can Sull, but there is room for improvement 😊

My wife and I visited Can Sull for our minimoon in July 2023, and I’m afraid to say we did not have a great experience. To start with the positives: - The space is very stylish – the room and hotel décor look great, and both are very well appointed. - The small number of guests means that there is enough space around the pool (which is very rare!), and the hotel environment in general is very quiet and peaceful. - The breakfast is delicious, with fresh fruit, yoghurt, tomatoes, cheese, charcuterie, and a choice of eggs (although I will admit, after 10 days it did start to get a little repetitive!). These are, unfortunately, outweighed by the negatives: - As other reviewers have pointed out, Can Sull is not a hotel. It is a guesthouse. Staff are only on-site until 3pm, after which guests are left to their own devices. There is therefore nobody to ask for local advise, help with any issues, or to serve drinks or anything else. Seemed like a small issue at first, but in reality, when paying 250€+ per night, it would be nicer to not feel as though you are in an Airbnb with 5 other couples. - The ‘honesty bar’ system implemented is not a sufficient replacement for hotel staff to manage a bar. For one, drinks are very expensive, considering that the process of buying one is the exact same as going to one of the local shops (you take something out of the fridge), at 3.50 € for a beer or coke, and over 20€ for some bottles of wine. Rooms also include a minibar, including jars of snacks with no prices advertised. We ate some of these, and saw on our final bill that we were charged 10€ per jar, despite the fact that the very same jars were sold at shops for 1.45€. The hotel are also very clear that you are not allowed to consume food and beverages bought elsewhere in any of the common areas in the hotel, meaning that you have to subscribe to these inflated prices. - Worse still, the hotel only provide filtered water at breakfast. At one point, I asked if I could use the filtered water tap at around noon, and was told it was turned off following breakfast service, and that my only option was to buy the hotel’s bottled water, at 5€ for a litre. This practice is actually illegal in Spain, where all restaurants and hotels are obliged to provide guests with filtered tap water, free of charge. - We also faced significant issues with the honesty bar system, as staff were counting empty bottles from our bin, and adding them to our final tally, even though we had already declared them for ourselves, resulting in some things being counted twice. On another occasion, we had bought two bottles of chocolate milk from the shop and disposed of them in our bin, only for staff to add them to our bill regardless. When we raised this, we were accused of lying, with hotel staff informing us that the bottles were different, and that we must have taken them from the honesty bar downstairs, in front of other guests. When we raised this frankly humiliating experience with management, and asked to check out early, we were told that this would not be possible without forfeiting for our total bill. At no point were we offered an apology, nor was this issue communicated with the owners, since when we eventually checked out, we were charged for all of the mis-counted items (after raising the issue we were issued with a cash refund, however).
