I was placed here after my flight being cancelled. Please know this is NOT a four star hotel. They do have decent buffet style meals, the front desk staff was nice, and the room was clean enough. The air conditioning didn’t work and was blowing hot air, it is no where near Barcelona’s city center, the opening to the balcony was blocked by a bed, and there were loud middle/high school children wandering around. I would not pay to stay here, but it was good enough for a one night stay.
Our flight got canceled and we were put up here for overnight stay by Iberia/Level airlines. This was not a good place to stay for several reasons. The only thing good about the hotel is hot showers and clean rooms. That’s about it. The ac in the room was blowing hot air even in the coldest setting even though the outside temperature was cooler than the room. This is April, not even summer months. The buffet they had for both dinner and breakfast was quite bad - never tasted such stale food across the board. Not sure who cooks such bad food. The only people this hotel seems to cater to are stranded people due to canceled flights and teens and pre-teens on school trips. So the hotel doesn’t care about quality of food I guess and with all those kids, it’s pretty noisy through the night as well. In our experience, the staff were polite and did provide reasonable service handling such a large crowd. But they really need to fix their ac and food quality and taste.
My flight was cancelled, and United booked this hotel for us. It’s located in a city about 45 minutes from the airport. During our one-night stay, there happened to be some school activities with teenagers at the hotel. The room was very basic with poor sound insulation — we could hear all the jumping and yelling from the floor above. Since the floor was tiled, every noise from upstairs echoed loudly. It was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The dinner provided was acceptable, but the breakfast was very basic.
