Candeo Hotels Kumamoto Shinshigai

Excellent location - located centrally near the shopping area as well as Kumamoto castle. The rooms are fairly spacious. We absolutely loved their rooftop public bath and their buffet breakfast. There's no hotel parking but there a few parking lots around.

Minutes away from the shopping districts and Kumamoto castle. Short tram ride away from Kumamoto train station. Love that it's surrounded by lots of food options too. Our corner room was very big and we love the view of the castle from the window. Only complaint is that housekeeping had to be requested before 9am. Even if the beds are not made, at least there should be clearing of trash and replenishment of basic items like tissue and water. Public bath is big and amenities are well stocked.

While the area was convenient, our live changed into sadly let down by using the info. The inn is in extreme want of a upkeep, as the facilities and room decor are pretty dated and worn. What became maximum frustrating, but, was the lack of training for our circle of relatives of 4. We consistently found our room provided with handiest two towels and two small bottles of water, requiring us to call reception daily for the bare necessities. This oversight made our live experience inconvenient and confirmed a disappointing loss of attention from the control. We could hesitate to advise it for households.
