What a great hotel. Located right outside the train station. Easy to get to and around Wakayama. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived early. They took our luggage and it was waiting for us in our room when we returned from our afternoon of castle and temple viewing. Then we found out there is a rooftop sento with sauna and cold bath. Very nice place. We also got a great deal booking on Agoda for 12 600.
Perfect location inside shopping center in Wakayama station. Nice view and services, especially by Korean-speaking staff. One difficulty is that it is not easy to find the main entrance for the first comers. Please attach signs to the hotel. (Go out and turn left to the library. Just after a Securities company, you can find a secret automatic door.
This was our first stay at this Hotel. In the past we stared at another Candeo and everything was larger. The room was rather small for two people, but comfortable. We did enjoy the spa on the roof with the nice view. It was disappointing that most of the staff did not speak English. I had trouble describing a couple of small problems with the room. As for the location, it is GREAT, right above the station and an easy walk to the Castle and to a nice Supermarket (About 15 minutes). The market at the station is not reasonable.
