Candeo Hotels Tokyo Shimbashi

We stayed at this hotel for 10 days. I think we were much more satisfied than at the hotels in Osaka. First, transportation is very convenient, and there are many good restaurants nearby. Second, the hot springs here are the best. Especially, I think I was able to endure the travel schedule thanks to the daily half-bath in the open-air bath. Third, the staff were very friendly. The multinational staff spoke Japanese, English, Korean, etc. well, and explained things in detail, which was very helpful for the trip. However, the downside is the laundry...;; There was only one dryer that worked well, and we had to fight over the washing machine to use it after all the schedules were over. Other than that, it was a very, very satisfying hotel!!

The hotel offers standard facilities in a convenient location, although guests should be aware of its proximity to the red-light district, particularly at night. The rooms and bathrooms are compact, so guests should anticipate this. The breakfast service is average, with limited options, and the staff tends to clear the food service promptly before 9:30 AM. Furthermore, there have been instances of inaccurate food labeling, specifically concerning the presence of pork in dishes advertised as seafood, and a lack of halal options. Room tidying is not provided by default; guests must request this service, otherwise, fresh towels will be left on the bed. A stay of more than a few days is not recommended.

The room is family-friendly, with a comfortable bed and a small sofa. Staffs are able to speak fluent English. However, the environment outside the hotel is horrible. There are many “special” workers. They will keep asking if you need a massage service, especially on Saturday nights. You can see many gangs and drunk people everywhere. If I had known that before, I wouldn’t have booked this hotel with my family.
