Cannon Hill Inn

Had a wonderful two nights of sleep in the most extremely comfortable beds with my wife and family. The rooms were spacious, bathroom was clean and updated, free breakfast with a Keurig coffee maker, fresh orange juice and milk, fruit, muffins, cereal, apples, peaches...Made us feel at home. Cable TV and internet service included! Lovely outside porch to past the time, and a large rear patio deck too. Will definitely stay there again!

Tl;dr 10/10 lovely place Nice rooms, large bathrooms, comfortable beds, quiet neighborhood. *if you’re searching how to use the the blinds, they are pull down/ up, set slats horizontal and pull from the thick bottom. The bathroom one takes a bit of muscle as it is very large. To put up, push up from the same bottom. They’re called cordless blinds. Took me a hot minute to figure it out, the small ones were easy, the big one i was unsure of ‘cause i was scared of damaging it, but i assure you, it is cordless. Took me a bit to find this place as i showed up in the ams. The check in process was very different than what i was used to (but then again i’m used to large chain hotels) eventually i figured it out after a while (i was very tired, like 20 hours awake tired). You’d think i’d know it by the cannon outside but alas i am not very bright lol. The room was lovely, i had a queen bed. I loved the decorations.the bathroom was very spacious (bigger than the bedroom i think, or just as big). The bed was comfortable, not too soft and not too firm. I had just the right amount of blanket too, most places give you too little, this had a little fuzzy one along with the topper (and sheets of course). The neighborhood was very quiet, and safe as far as i know. I loved how they had quite a few different items to chose from soap/ conditioner wise. I think it was two different types of shampoo and conditioner, some shower gel, and two different bar soaps. They also had toothbrushes and tooth paste. I especially loved the little bathroom cups, i forget how much easier they make brushing teeth lol. Overall one of the better places i’ve stayed, especially given the price, and i travel all over the state and surrounding. I’ve stayed at quite a few places, 10/10 would stay here again if i find myself in the area again.

First! If you do not have AT&T then make sure you get the WIFI password BEFORE you arrive. I had Mint Mobile so it uses the T-Mobile towers. There is a small spot that has service just in front of the tavern across the street. I reserved a room here at the last minute so I wasn't able to see Tim when I arrived and without cell service, I couldn't call. However, the wifi from the tavern across the street reaches the first few rooms in case you find yourself in a similar situation. If you are a history buff, like myself, then the this is a great place to stay. in addition to the relics inside, the inn is located in the historic district. It is within walking distance to the WWII museum and the historical society. The town is the location of several engagements between confederate and union forces. I won't spoil the details but I would recommend going to Cannon Hill Park (View from the park attached). Ask someone at the Historical Society about it. The room was clean and comfortable with a huge ADA shower. I forgot my toothbrush at home and was very happy to see that there were spares available in my room. I was only able to speak to Tim once before I left. He, and everyone in the town, is very friendly and can recommend many attractions in the area.
