We're Hilton Honors guests and chose this location for its central proximity to our three destinations for the weekend: Liberty State Park, Citi Field, and the Meadowlands Expo. The PATH subway and multiple bars and restaurants were all a short walk away. Though we didn't request it, we were given an accessible room. This meant we had a lot of space between furniture, which made the room feel discuss and not cramped like other Canopy hotels we've stayed at. However, this convenience made the tub/shower combo very cramped. The additional bars and location of the shampoo/conditioner/body wash bottles meant we were knocking our elbows and hips. Front desk staff was helpful but seemed bored. We got what we needed, when we needed it. I'm writing a separate review for the hotel bartender Josh on the Canopy Bar Google review page. He was amazing and well worth the high prices of hotel drinks.
My first stay at Canopy by Hilton in Jersey and it was great. I've been staying in a Jersey City Hotel since 2006. I've watched the city grow up, new buildings, new businesses and yet it's familiar to me. The Canopy allows me to walk to the market, the post other local shops. The mall is a short walk down Washington Street, about a mile. I love that it's only :20 minutes to drive into NYC and :35 minutes to drive into Brooklyn. My room was spacious, the staff was welcoming and helpful. I enjoyed my stay. I was there for business and pleasure.
Beautiful hotel in a great location. Nice amenities including a great fitness center. Lobby restaurant was not stellar, but okay from a convenience and option perspective. Lots of restaurants in walking distance.
