Canopy by Hilton Tempe Downtown

I had a very pleasant stay here. My room was nice, clean, and well kept. I got a towel and sheet refresh daily. Parking was around $40 per night. Parking is Valet Only but with unlimited in/out privileges. Oddly though, the downstairs bartender changed the prices when he wanted to I guess? One day my Margarita was $15.13. The next day around the same time it was $17.30. Made the same way, same tequila but my glass was less full than the day prior. I never went back for another.

I stayed at this same hotel chain when I was in San Francisco, and honestly, the experience was very different. In San Francisco, the rooms were dusty and dirty, and I felt like what I paid didn’t match what I received at all. However, at the Canopy by Hilton Tempe Downtown in Arizona, the experience was completely different. From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff was kind and empathetic. The facilities are modern, clean, and well-maintained. There are several common areas where you can relax, have a drink, or just enjoy the atmosphere. The pool, bar, and restaurant are beautifully designed and very inviting. The room I got was spacious, modern, comfortable, and very clean. This time, I really felt like what I paid was worth it. That’s why I think this place truly deserves a 5-star rating. My only suggestion is to please train the café staff on how to make a proper cappuccino. I paid $7 and what I got was basically a latte, with no foam or real cappuccino flavor. It’s a small detail, but it makes a difference.

My wife and I had an amazing stay at the Canopy by Hilton Tempe Downtown. We picked it for its prime downtown location, and with everything within walking distance, it made for the perfect chill weekend escape from the kiddos. We chose a local staycation to celebrate our 14th anniversary, and it couldn’t have worked out better. The hotel staff were warm and welcoming, and the room upgrade with a beautiful view was a great surprise. The thoughtful acknowledgment of our anniversary was the icing on the cake. Highly recommend this spot!
