Canopy by Hilton Washington DC The Wharf

Nice, new, upscale hotel right on the very happening Wharf in DC. I got a somewhat larger mini suite on the water so not sure how the regular rooms are. But this was an away room with expansive views of the water and marina. Very comfortably appointed and sparklingly clean. Not sure when the hotel opened but in July of 2025 it seemed quite new. The lobby was comfortable with several areas to sit and relax. Lobby restaurant/bar was decent. Had breakfast there. Also saw they had their own pizza oven and the pizzas looked appetizing. Will have to try one on my next trip. They also have what I’d call a hidden gem with a rooftop bar, Whiskey Charlie. Great views and was not too crowded when we went there for pre dinner cocktails. And you can’t beat their location at the south end of the fantastic DC Wharf. The only downside might be if you have a car - space is tight at the Wharf and hard to maneuver around, but I’m sure it’s manageable.

Absolutely stunning hotel in the best location!! Walking distance to everything at the Wharf. Everything about this hotel is 5 stars. Staff here are so incredibly nice and accommodating! Jamel at the front desk helped us check in with ease, and even upgraded our room! We are so thankful for that. The room was spectacular and exceptionally clean. The room had its own living room away from the bedroom (great when you are traveling with a toddler 😄) the bathroom was nice and modern and I loved the tile in the shower. We also ate a couple times at the restaurant. Mulu and Emma were so sweet - also accommodating to my son’s allergies making him his own special omelette! We loved our stay here and we will definitely be back soon!!

Enjoyed my stay here. Room was nice. View was nice. Bedding had stains, house keeping wasn't present at night. Front desk staff was amazing. Bartender with long hair at Whiskey Charlie had his favorites he tended to while ignoring others... but the drinks were good. I'd give it another try
