I spend the most beautiful 5 days there, nice room, super clean, very nice stuff, beautiful owner,it was a very good choice for us
Can’t speak highly enough about this hotel! Absolutely wonderful service with kind, helpful employees who went out of their way at every turn to help us. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated, with an amazing bathroom with a huge bath and two beds where we slept in supreme comfort. I would highly recommend this to tourists as well as they accommodated us with so much kindness and care. I haven’t even mentioned the price which was out of this world — SO low and with unmatched value! Thank you Capace ❤️❤️❤️❤️
The rooms were smaller than pictured, and was not well maintained. The walls had many stains, and the sheets were stained and dusty as well. The amenities were old and run down - the phone was sticky, the cupboards had a lot of dust, and the electrical sockets were not working. From what I've seen in some other reviews online, it used to be an old love hotel revamped as a hotel for tourists, so the shower situation was very exposed and NOT SUITABLE FOR FAMILY travelling together because the entire bathtub and shower can be seen by whoever is lying on the bed. I will not recommend it to people who are clean and tidy, because it feels like a dormitory or motel, and not a hotel. There was a sign in the elevator stating that people who are underaged or are using this hotel for other "activities" would be fined, so I suppose it was a telling sign too. However, the staff were very friendly and prompt in their service, greeting guests daily and even assisting with food delivery for any late night cravings. They provided an extension cord for our spoilt power point, but it was still not an ideal situation. Location wise, yes, it is part of Gangnam however not central. The hotel is tucked away in a very quiet corner far from the main district, in a smaller alley. I really want to know who are the people writing such glowing reviews because the stay has been quite stuffy and uncomfortable, and we were told there were no rooms to upgrade to even if we wanted to pay - when some reviews shared they got free upgrades. I feel itchy just thinking about the bed. It seems that they provide better service to foreigners in order to get higher reviews, as most of the bad reviews are from Koreans. Because a Korean friend accompanied us and helped us with the check-in, it seems that we got a bad room. So, I will say that there is a bias in treatment.
