Cape Dara Resort

We stayed for 5 nights at Cape Dara. First look when you go in, is the huge pool with a stunning view. A lot to explore. All in all whether we had a question or if we just wanted to have a short small talk, BOM at the reception always had a open ear. He is the sweetest! At the second pool right down the beach we always got so warmly welcomed of TO, such a beautiful soul. TAR and TOUCH made us the best cocktails there and made US enjoy our stay even more. All in all everybody was so kind, we felt really welcome here and would book again every time!

The lobby and pool area is impressive, but that is the good first impression that let's you down In the end. The hotel overall is nice, but at the price as with other well worn hotels... Time is starting to take its toll. The hallways are weathered, the rooms are in need of repairs. Our toilet was leaking, which meant that the room was damp and bathroom floor always had a puddle. We also had a late night visit from a cock roach.... However, what really lead to an overall poor experience was the service. We requested 3x times for our room to be cleaned, each time it was not done correctly or only done as a token gesture. 1st round - towels were changed, but rubbish not removed - leaving the bed un done. After specifically requesting the bed... The cleaner made the bed... But did not change the sheets which was the main topic.

The hotel is old and run down. The shampoo provided in the bathroom is not shampoo. They only have clear shower gel in both bottles (shower bottle and shampoo bottle). The food is terrible. Not tasty at all, both in the evening dining room and the breakfast buffet. There were a few insects on the food. The taste is not good. But the staff are very good. They speak well and are friendly.
