Only used the spa. Beautiful location overlooking the river dividing Sweden and Finland. Spa is okay. You can pay 595 kr for your spa experience with a little spa kit containing a face scrub, face lotion, body scrub and body wash. Or opt out of the spa kit and pay 545 kr. Both options include towel, bathrobe and slippers. However, a huge minuspoint for the slippers, because they were one use only, before they ended up in the trash, so I recommend bringing your own or opting out of them. The women's lockerroom is small. There's only two showers. There's schampo/bodywash, conditioner and handsoap in the showers. The spa provides free fruit, icy lemonwater and ginger shots. You can order other drinks at the bar. There's an outdoor and indoor rooftop pool, a big sauna area, Finish sauna, steam sauna, hot tub, outdoor pool (however the door between the inside area and outside area of the outdoor pool were broken) outdoor hot tub, ice shower, ice bath, foot baths, relax area and experience showers. My favorite place was definitely the experience showers, with the light, sound and different watermists. If you closed your eyes you could dream away with the different experiences. The bathsalt for the footbath smelled really nice. Overall it was fine, however there were several frogs trapped in the pool leading to the outdoor area. I fished up three, and one of them were dead. When I swam in the outdoor area of the pool I saw another six frogs. One of them were alive and was saved by another guest. Poor, poor frogs, I don't want to be sadden by dead frogs when I come to the spa. Make it friendlier to the wildlife so the frogs don't get trapped and die in the pool and choose a more sustainable solution for the slippers please!

Booked caravan premium view site but was too noisy because of compressor near it. Basic view was quieter. Not worth paying extra.

Unfortunately, our stay at Cape East Hotel in Haparanda was very disappointing. The hotel was extremely dirty. The rooms had wall-to-wall carpets that were visibly unclean and unsuitable for anyone traveling with a pet. The rooms were also cold, and there was a noticeable smell of mold, which raised concerns about indoor air quality and overall comfort. The spa area was in very poor condition. The floors were slimy and slippery, and both the drains and pools were full of hair. It was unhygienic and unpleasant to use the spa facilities under these conditions. Overall, the level of cleanliness and maintenance was unacceptable for a hotel of this category. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements, especially in hygiene and room conditions.
