My family and I stayed at Camp Panwa Hotel for five nights. The hotel and the rooms are clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Some minor issues that we had were fixed right away. The breakfast was excellent; it was always fresh and varied. That restaurant on the property is also good, with a good variety. The beach is great, with a lot of shade, but the shore was a bit rocky—nothing that can't be fixed with proper water shoes. In the hotel's vicinity are good restaurants, massage places, a pharmacy, and a grocery store.
The people, as in the staff, are second to none. So friendly and so attentive and welcoming. This resort is older but still fabulous. The rooms are very quiet, cool and comfortable. I think if I was to come again, I would get a villa with its own pool. The beach is so beautiful with crystal water and soft white sand. The pool is lovely. There is another pool and spa at the beach but it was always full of kids. You can find your own quiet spot as it is not busy here… although my husband says as soon as I review things I wreck them, as then people go! The food is also fantastic and you really should lose weight before you come! We got a great package with food included. The band are lovely and some tourists that come often play along or have a sing. Everyone is so sweet… except the tourists! They seem so unhappy but how could you be here? I highly recommend Cape Panwa Hotel… and up the road so many great massages and stop in at the Sunset View bar for a beer and the view.
We were booked here by our travel agent and didn’t realise it was set on a steep cliff. When we checked in we were told our room was a walk up a hill and in an another building separate from the reception block. This is also meant you would get wet if it was raining. In the circumstances we paid to upgrade for a room in the same block as reception, block c. There is transport available to bring you up and down the steep hill to the little street down by the sea where the sister hotel is, a few restaurants and a 7/11. The hotel also has a funicular to get up and down to the beach if you don’t want to climb the steps. The beach has a lot of sharp coral at the shore at times depending on the tides so I would advise to bring beach shoes. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was good and varied with the best selection of western food. If you have any mobility issues I would avoid this hotel as there’s no elevators anywhere unless they can guarantee you a room on a floor level with reception.
