Capital O Hotel 522 Puerto Vallarta

This “hotel” is in an excellent location but has definitely seen better days. The room was dark as there was paper tacked up over the small door window and the view out the one window was into the public area. The room was never cleaned and I was there 8 days. The outside areas were neglected and all the plants were dead - the whole place needed a good cleaning and a paint job. There was a well equipped kitchen for use as previous owners provided breakfast for guests but no longer. I really can’t recommend this hotel.

We arrived with our taxi driver, and realized that the hotel had changed its name. Luckily the taxi driver had a phone with the Mexican plan and could call the hotel or we would’ve been locked out. There was no one working there. We never saw one person working there. The bathroom light didn’t work so when you closed the door you were in the dark. There was a mop in a bucket by the front door with dirty water in it that looked like it had been there for days or weeks. There was mould on the ceiling there was garbage everywhere that you looked outside of the room including cleaning supplies that had just been thrown out the window. When I tried to open the bathroom window, the entire metal locking mechanism fell off onto the floor, almost breaking the toilet and hitting my foot. No drinking water available either. I’m sure there was even more things wrong with the room but I can’t remember them all right now. Save your money and go somewhere else.

The hotel is very pretty on the outside, unfortunately you can hardly find any personnel working there. You need to bang on the door to register. The room was relatively clean but the toilet area didn’t have any light, the shower didn’t look clean and there was no hot water. At the time of check out, nobody answer the door, we had to leave the keys in the mailbox
