I had a wonderful experience during my recent stay at the hotel, which also hosted our two-day event. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and well taken care of. A special mention goes to Mr. Azuandy, who was exceptionally attentive to our needs throughout the event. His professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail ensured everything ran smoothly, making a significant difference in the overall experience. The facilities were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the event spaces were thoughtfully arranged to suit our requirements. The atmosphere was both relaxed and professional—perfect for a productive and enjoyable event. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. I would definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to others.
Pro: Close distance to the checkpoint, friendly concierges and front service team. Bedroom was clean with fresh towels and sufficient amenities. Spent 2 nights and the $ spent personally doesn’t justify the price tag on the room rates. Other hotels offered quiet rooms and better service. Cons: 1. Bathroom at Studio Deluxe King had a funky smell 2. Trash was not cleaned by housekeeping from previous guest in Studio Deluxe Twin. these could have been personal care items which are more sensitive and unpleasant for the next guest. 2. Lots of noises - 1st night: construction (lasted til 11pm on a Sat night), 2nd night - late night & wee hours cars honking + police car sirens from the checkpoint 3. Felt discriminated as I was asked to replace a chair for another guest of a Malay race without a reason, even though they had sufficient chairs. I’m fine with replacing the chair but hoped the staff could explain the situation at the time or just provide simple courtesies instead of grabbing the chair from my breakfast service at the table. When the chair was replaced, the guest seemed to be physically fit young aged mother as she was relaxing with her head and back reclined to the armchair while consuming her food happily. Great job to the friendly service to receptionists & concierge for their professionalism & service. Mediocre in other areas.
Utterly disgusting and a nightmare overall. This is genuinely one of the filthiest hotel stays I’ve ever had. The room was revolting. There were stains everywhere—on the walls, the furniture, and worst of all, the bedsheets, which had bizarre, unidentifiable marks. The carpet was stained with what looked disturbingly like dried blood in places. I didn’t even want to take off my shoes for fear of what I might step in. The bathroom was an absolute horror show. It reeked of stale urine mixed with an overpowering cigarette stench that hit you the moment you opened the door. The shower head and the bidet were both covered in visible mould and fungus—so filthy I refused to even use them. Grimy tiles, black mould in the grout, and a foul damp smell completed the experience. I felt like I needed a shower after using the bathroom, if that were even possible in such a disgusting space. To make matters worse, the location is right beside the Johor Bahru checkpoint. Sounds convenient? It’s not. Getting back to the hotel was a complete nightmare—we were stuck in the same brutal traffic jam as everyone trying to cross the border. You don’t just get a dirty room; you also waste ages crawling back to it in gridlock. Overall, the whole room felt unsanitary, neglected, and just gross. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone—honestly, you’d be better off sleeping in your car. It’s shocking they think this level of hygiene is acceptable, let alone charge money for it. Avoid at all costs. Disgusting, unhygienic, and an absolute health hazard.
