Kennebunkport Inn is a great place to stay during your visit. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are well-appointed and unique. The hotel is actually quite big but feels small and cozy. It’s super convenient right in the middle of town. Access to bikes and kayaks as well as other activities through the hotel to make your stay enjoyable.
The friendly staff greeted us upon our arrival and were very helpful. The location is excellent and very walkable to restaurants, shops, dessert shops, t-shirt stores, candle stores, a bridge, lobster rolls, churches, the post office, a library, and other things. The hotel restaurant and bar (Burleigh) was delicious. The rooms a quaint, nice, and clean. Fun fact - there are no phones in the rooms, which made it feel like we stepped back in time. The breakfast is, indeed, continental as promised (light on the protein). If you must have eggs and bacon, this is not the place for you. But, if you like juice, bagels, English muffins, Chobani yogurt (personal size), Danish, and cereal, you’ll be thrilled. We ate our breakfast outside each morning on the patio. It was delightful. Something unexpected, which we enjoyed, was the affiliation with other local hotels including The Lodge on the Cove, where we collected beach chairs and towels for our trip to Mother’s Beach. There they also have a pool with some games, including corn hole. We highly recommend Kennebunkport Inn!
I stayed in the Thompson suit. I have never been to this hotel before and I’m not sure I would come back. You pay pretty significant prices for rooms that are outdated, rugs stained, furniture with questionable stains, and beds that while are large, are uncomfortable. I understand it’s in a sought after location, but there are hotels that are closer and cheaper and more modern. The staff were fine, and the parking is pretty limited. I’m sure everyone who works there are great people, but why pay more for less?
