We visited here for a family wedding, it was out of this world!! The place and views are stunning, we all had the best day and didn't want to leave. The food was delicious and all the staff seemed super attentive and friendly. What an amazing day.
Nice birthday lunch. Good food. Pricey but to be expected. Carbis Bays most casual venue but I was surprised to see people wearing swimming gear and football shirts
Upon arrival we were greeted by very unenthusiastic reception staff, were given a VERY brief ‘tour’ of the hotel, but still left wondering where breakfast would be served and at which times. We were left to figure out a lot of things for ourselves. When I asked a member of staff to later show me where breakfast was served I was shown very reluctantly with a sigh?! We asked which restaurants were available and what kind of food was serviced and the staff member did not know?? The breakfast was very underwhelming! Despite there being ample seating outside we were told we could not sit outside unless we had an allergy? I asked another member of staff if we could move outside to which I was told yes, then when we asked our original waiter if they would be happy to take our order he told us to “find the lady who let you sit outside”. The overall customer service was a truly bizzare experience which left me and my husband feeling unsettled and unwelcome. We paid £400 for a superior room that did not feel very superior. It was very small, no AC, very few amenities, a few tea bags and a kettle at most. The bathroom was not clean and the bedroom was in need of a huge upgrade, as well as the rest of the hotel in general. The carpet on the stairs is very dirty so doesn’t set the best impression when heading to our bedroom. It is safe to say we would not be returning to this overpriced, outdated and poorly run hotel. One positive was - Benin was lovely and very helpful.
