Ive stayed in over 100 places this last 11 months and this was the best. Paul and Debbie who run it are the nicest people you could wish to know and bend over backwards to make your stay a delight. Wonderful cottage, wonderful views and lovely and peaceful.
We had booked to stay at the cottages as part of a wider family event in the area. Just 5 days from the start of the booking we had to cancel due to the pandemic, kids to evacuate (before borders closed), etc. On contacting Paul and Debbie, they were not only understanding and gracious about it they also refunded our “non-refundable” deposit, which is no small thing in these uncertain times. Whatever else not only have they won our future custom but also reinforced our opinion that there are a lot very decent people out there, including Paul and Debbie. Thank you.
I stay here year after year and it is by far the BEST place I have ever stayed. The cottages are AMAZING the price is insanely good value and Paul and Debbie are the best hosts you could ever wish for. I would HIGHLY recommend staying at Carden Cottages. This is a top class place.
