Had a lovely over night stay with a friend. Room was spotless couldn't fault anything.Had everything we needed. We had a beautiful breakfast and plenty of it we had room service and it was brought to our room. Only fault was we didn't have enough butter for 4 slices of toast. They only gave us two when one butter did one slice of toast. Staff were friendly and polite. We could ask for better.
Convenient and comfortable stay The Cardiff Marriott Hotel was a convenient and acceptable choice for my recent visit. It’s located right in the city centre, just a short walk from Cardiff Central Station, shops, restaurants, and major attractions like Cardiff Castle and the Principality Stadium—perfect for exploring the city on foot. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a short stay. While the decor felt a little dated, everything was in working order, and the bed was comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep. Staff were friendly and check-in was smooth. I didn’t use many of the facilities, but the overall experience met my expectations. Nothing particularly fancy, but definitely a reliable and practical option if you’re looking for location and ease
UPDATE: Hotel management reached out to me on 10/7/25 which I thought was very swift - being within a day of my review. I responded 12/7. No reply. I followed up again on 18/7. No reply. Currently at 26/7 and still no reply. I’ve amended my review to reduce my score on service. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Fridge didn’t work and so we couldn’t come back to a cold drink in summer. Mattress was terrible and dipped in the middle - very uncomfortable and caused back issues. Carpet was stained - looked like someone had vomited next to the bed. Price was extremely expensive due to Oasis concert - which was expected and all hotels were doing it - but I was happy to pay it to stay at the Marriott because I expected it to be good quality and comfortable and it wasn’t. Do not waste your money here - whether you pay normal prices or surge prices. The only positives were that the staff were all very friendly and the location was very central.
