I just want to say that staying in this hotel was a fabulous experience! The hotel employees are extremely helpful and sincere. I was very pleased with the hospitality and high level of service. Since I arrived during a less busy week, they were able to upgrade me to a lovely corner room with pleasant views of the neighborhood. My flight landed early in the morning and they were also kind enough to check me in earlier without an extra charge. The accommodations here are modern, clean, and very comfortable. The housekeeping service ensured my room was always immaculate. Breakfast was nice and everyone always greeted me with a big smile. This hotel is also in a very elegant neighborhood that will remind you of Paris. I was able to walk to many great restaurants and landmarks. The architecture of this neighborhood is gorgeous. You will not regret staying at the Carles!

Our stay in your hotel July 12-15 had been wonderful with excellent service from front office staff named Ailen, always helpful and smiling. She also gave us her personal recommendations of restaurants nearby the hotel. Whenever we came back to the hotel, she would ask us how our day was. Hotel is located in a lovely area with French like architecture. In each floor there are only 4 rooms, making it very quiet and private. Facilities are modern and clean. Every afternoon, there will be a variety of cakes and desserts in the lobby area for guests to enjoy for free. The fruit water next to it is also refreshing! It's different every day. However on the last day, our stay was regrettably spoiled by the rude conduct of Cecilia from reservations. At breakfast I had dropped my knife and was bringing to the counter to change for a clean one. I was appalled by the attitude of Cecilia. I spoke in English that I had dropped my knife and asked if I could get a clean knife. She stared with exasperated look, giving some orders loudly in Spanish. Then she walked up impatiently and angrily took the knife from me and pointed the clean ones. It was very humiliating and I was in shock as to how a staff of your hotel’s caliber could behave in such condescending manner. It was later when I finished my breakfast and recovered from shock that I decided to ask the other restaurant staff for her name so I could file a complain. They telephoned her and when she came in the restaurant, I asked for her name and told her that I am going to make a complain. She then explained in English that she was letting me know there was a wet spot on floor. So why didn’t she reply in English in the first place when I spoke in English to her? Why the need to be so loud, rude and behave in such condescending attitude ? Shouldn’t hotel staff be trained to be polite and not only behave courteous when guest wants to complain? It was a blatant lie there was wet spot that she was wanting me to avoid ! That incident significantly impacted my stay in your hotel and left a sour note which otherwise would have been a lovely stay.
