Carlton Europe Vintage Adults Hotel

I rarely leave reviews, but this hotel absolutely deserves a glowing shout-out. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond in ways I’ve never experienced before. Everyone was so incredibly kind, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming, it made our stay feel truly special. The location couldn’t have been better. It was the perfect base for exploring the Swiss Alps, with such easy access to the train station that hopping on and off for day trips was a breeze. What really blew me away was how the hotel celebrated my birthday. They surprised me with an upgraded room, brought out a delicious dessert complete with a candle, and gifted us drink vouchers for a celebratory toast. Every gesture felt heartfelt and personal, and it made the whole day feel magical. I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels over the years, but this one stands out by miles. The staff’s warmth, the thoughtful touches, the perfect location, every detail was top-notch. This was hands-down the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. If you’re considering staying here, don’t hesitate. They truly know how to make their guests feel celebrated and cared for.

Restaurant: I had a great experience at the restaurant, thanks to Andre who was working at the service line. He was fast, attentive, and very professional. As soon as a plate was empty, he cleared it without being intrusive. His efficiency and friendly demeanor made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Truly appreciate his excellent service! Front desk during checked in: We checked in on Thursday, 8 May 2025, and were warmly greeted by a friendly white lady at the front desk (unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name). She wasn’t wearing glasses, but her smile and welcoming attitude stood out. She offered us welcome drinks upon arrival, and when our room wasn’t ready yet, she immediately arranged for our luggage to be stored safely at no charge. Her genuine hospitality made a great first impression and set a positive tone for our stay. Thank you for making us feel so welcomed! Front desk during checked out: During our check-out, we were assisted by a staff member named Jasmine, who was incredibly helpful and professional. She made the process smooth and efficient, and her friendly attitude left a lasting impression. It was a pleasant end to our stay.

This is a fantastic historical hotel! The staff is incredibly friendly, the rooms are very nice, comfortable and clean, and the hotel is located in a great area. Walking distance to all of the restaurants in town, walking distance to the train station, and across the street from a beautiful park and river that you can swim in. There is no AC, but you can open the windows and doors in your room and they provide you with a fan, so we had no issues. Can’t recommend this hotel enough!
