Carlton Hotel Buda Castle

I couldn’t be happier with my stay and I highly suggest this hotel for visitors who want a quiet night sleep while being minutes away from key attractions. Context: stayed 3 nights, second week of July 2025, booked a month in advance I was shocked how amazing this hotel was considering I was traveling on a budget. Skip the hostels and busy / loud areas in pest if you’re looking for a more peaceful night sleep! I had the single room and it was absolutely perfect, I was shocked how nice the bathroom was and loved my views out. The staff is super friendly and helped me with any issues I had. This place is spotless clean, renovated, and overall just solid solid solid. The best part is that your in the heart of old Budapest, literally an 8 minute walk away from Fisherman’s bastion, less than 5 min from the river and chain bridge. Walking distance to Buda Castle. Tons of cafes and restaurants around. I loved my stay and would come back in a second.

Arrived for a check-in at midnight just to be told that the AC wasn't working and could cancel the reserve. It was her 30ºC inside the room, the AC wasn't repaired during the 5 day stay. The room wasn't anything better than any 3 star hotel I've been so far. Aside from that, the location is superb, with Buda Castle, Fisherman's Bastion and Chain Bridge less than 10 minutes walk, and parliament about 20 minutes walk.

The best advantage of the hotel is the cost-benefit ratio. In this respect, the hotel is excellent. The service of the staff and the reception was excellent. English speaking and very helpful. The hotel location is not at the center. Uncomfortable mattress Old room The hotel is suitable for those who come to sleep cheaply and travel. Breakfast does not suit the needs of Middle Eastern customers. More suitable for Europeans, I believe that for them the meal is considered good.
